Unix timestamp
What date is this unix timestamp?
Reads ten digits as seconds and thirteen as milliseconds - the mistake that puts a log line in 1970 or in the year 55000. Prints both, plus the ISO string.
- seconds 1700000000
- milliseconds 1700000000000
- ISO 8601 2023-11-14T22:13:20.000Z
- RFC 822, as a feed writes it Tue, 14 Nov 2023 22:13:20 GMT
- date only 2023-11-14
how to use it
- Paste the timestamp, or an ISO date - it reads both.
- Check the seconds and milliseconds rows; the length of the number decides which it was read as.
- Everything is in UTC, because a timestamp has no timezone and a log line usually does not either.
what this page cannot do
The extension reads the timestamps a page is actually storing - cookie expiries, token claims, cache stamps - so the value comes from the page rather than from a copy-paste.
